John L. Hansen is a Vice President and founding
member of TM Financial Forensics, LLC. He was previously a Director at
Navigant Consulting and a Vice President at Tucker Alan Inc. Mr. Hansen
has more than 30 years experience consulting on economic, accounting,
valuation, and damages matters in a wide variety of industries. He has
analyzed and addressed lost profits, price erosion, reasonable royalties,
unjust enrichment, increased costs, and diminution of asset and business value.
Mr. Hansen’s experience focuses on evaluating
the financial impact of alleged intellectual property infringement and
misappropriation including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade
secrets. He has assisted clients with Section 337 investigations before
the United States International Trade Commission, and has consulted on the
valuation and licensing of intellectual property. Mr. Hansen’s experience
also includes providing consulting and analyses on forensic accounting, class
action, competition, and commercial disputes.
Mr. Hansen has testified as an expert on damages
and economic issues in deposition, trial and arbitration in state courts,
federal courts and before the International Trade Commission. He has also
presented on financial, accounting, and damages issues as well as intellectual
property valuation and licensing to university and industry groups such as the
University of California Hastings College of the Law, Stanford University, and
Santa Clara University School of Law.
